Light diffusion is an optical property that is caused by the interaction of particles with light rays.

This property is very important in greenhouses since it will determine the actual amount of photosynthetic light available for plants.  Light diffusers have minimal effect on the total light transition entering the covered area.  They diffuse the light evenly so it can be equally dispersed in the greenhouse, or create a soft feeling under a covered area.
